Frazier History Museum

The Frazier History Museum, located in downtown Louisville, KY, is an elegant venue for weddings and other special events. Here, you can surround yourself with all manner of historic artifacts while you celebrate your love. It sits in the West Main District of the city and is surrounded by other museums and tourist sites.

– Merkley Kendrick Rooftop Garden: can seat up to 250 for a ceremony, 150 seated for rooftop dinner, 75 for ceremony & reception – Fourth Floor Loft: can seat up to 320 for a ceremony and reception, 250 seated in rows for wedding ceremony – First Floor Great Hall: can seat up to 120 with room for dancing, 200 for standing reception, 500 for standing reception in conjunction with gallery access rental to second and third floor galleries. – The Speakeasy: host up to 100 for a standing cocktail reception and includes access to The Spirit of Kentuckyยฎ exhibit. – Order of the Writยฎ: same capacities as The Speakeasy and includes access to The Spirit of Kentuckyยฎ exhibit. – The Spirit of Kentucky Bridge (Included with Speakeasy and/or Order of the Writ): 70 seated or 250 people standing – Gateway Garden: can accommodate up to 70 seated, and 110 for a standing cocktail reception. – Boardroom: The Boardroom can seat up to 18 guests. (Corporate Only) – Second Floor Classroom: This 1,200 sq. ft. classroom can seat up to 50 guests. (Corporate Only) – Full Museum Buyout – 1,200 people

For Weddings: the average guest count is about 175. The cost of a wedding of this guest count ranges from $2,900 – $5,600. (Couples typically spend around $4,500.) For Corporate: the average guest count is about 200 guests. The cost of an event of this guest count can range from $2,200 – $16,000 (the $16,000 being a museum buyout). ***Wedding rentals include four hours of event time, three hours of set-up time, tables, chairs, and staffing (housekeeping, security, and a Frazier event staff member). For wedding ceremonies, two separate dressing rooms are available for two and a half hours before the event. Facility fee The Frazier History Museum requires couples to use a caterer from their approved list. Caterers must pay a 15% facility fee to the museum, based on the food and non-alcoholic beverage costs.
Museum access for guests during the event can be added for an additional cost.
